Saarang Updates
October - November 2025
A holistic community where land, people, and stories regenerate together.
Once-degraded land is slowly returning to life at Saarang. Here, every home sits within a growing food forest, every pathway leads to nature, and every season brings new colour to the landscape. Saarang isn’t just being built — it’s unfolding.
Construction Updates
Phase 1 is buzzing with activity
Three homes are receiving their final layers of internal plaster, slowly taking shape from the inside out.
Another is rising into place, with its roof entering the fabrication stage
Foundations for three more homes are already complete
While two future homes wait at the permit-approval door step -ready to join the neighbourhood soon
The story continues in Phase 2
One home is being finished with internal plaster
While another is ready for its roof to be crafted.
The third home has grown all the way up to its first floor brick work.
The fourth is inching to wards its ground-floor slab.
Foundations for two more homes are nearly done
And a new home will begin its journey with excavation starting shortly.

The landscaping work is about to begin, and soon the area will start coming to life.
Green spaces will take shape, and native trees and shrubs will be planted, making the lawns cozy and inviting. In the coming days,
The place will feel less like a construction site and more like a peaceful retreat, full of calm and natural beauty.
As construction continued to take shape, the space came alive with the flutter of wings and the vibrant colors of the Butterfly Fest
Nine participants joined us for a gentle, nature-filled photography walk — the first ever Butterfly Fest at Saarang
They wandered through the young food forest, pausing at sunlit clearings and wild flower patches, capturing butterflies in moments of flight and stillness
Their images and notes now form a part of an ongoing research effort to map species diversity on the campus.
It was a morning of soft foot steps, bright wings, and a shared appreciation for the tiny lives that reveal the health of an ecosystem.
Extending the Butterfly Fest celebrations, we welcomed children who eagerly came to discover the butterflies in their beauty from nearby.
They followed trails, learned to spot patterns and colours, and found joy in simply observing a world often overlooked.
Their curiosity turned the day into an energetic, hands-on learning experience.

Following the Butterfly celebration, on November 14 , a student outreach program was conducted. A group of enthusiastic students arrived. This time to explore the fascinating world of regenerative agriculture and biodiversity conservation.”
Walking through the foodforest pathways, they saw how soil, plants, insects, and people are woven together in a regenerative landscape.
The visit ended not just with learnings, but with a renewed sense of responsibility towards the natural world
